7th grade children participated at a medical training. The activity took place in the central park of Jibou, in which a team of medical professionals taught the pupils how to do proper CPR. The team came with the newest mobile hospital, this is deployed only in red case accidents and multiple victim disasters. It has all the features a normal hospital has, including intensive care.
The pupils were taught to give first aid in case of accidents and also cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation technique. The team showed the propper technique of CPR, you lay the person in need back, check for breathing and if it’s not you start CPR. Do 30 chest compressions, after that you do two rescue breaths, repeat this until an ambulance shows up. After this the medical team taught the pupils how to distinguish different injuries of an accident like a broken arm, dislocated shoulder, second and third degree burns, sprained ankle, back injuries and how to deal with them. And the most important thing, to call 112.
We uploaded the videos, photos and the new information to Facebook so more people have acces to important medical information.
The pupils know how to give propper first aid and now they feel more involved in the community. They had a unique oportunity to visit one of the newest mobile hospitals in the country.
